Cuvée Viva 2016

Aged for 12 months, 25% in cement vats, 75% in barrels (1/3 new, 1/3 of one wine, 1/3 of two wines), it is characterized by its aromas of ripe fruit and blackcurrant liqueur, with floral notes (peony and old rose). Racy, balanced and fleshy, it gives even more after 7 years of ageing, enriching itself with delicious aromas of truffles.

“Beautiful, fresh, unadorned notes of black cherry with elegant plum flavors followed by a light touch of anise.” Wine Spectator.

The team of the domain

Discreet nose, powerful but not heavy mouthfeel, rich, complete and very tight but restrained. In this great vintage, the Cuvée Viva shows a huge potential, and should be decanted quite a long time in advance or waited a few years.
